My name is Aneta Kopacz, I am a Polish movie director, screenwriter, editing director and psychologist. I gained my professional film experience on the movie sets both in Poland and in the US. One of them was a 2009 movie Get Low directed by an Academy Award Winner Aaron Schneider, starring Sissy Spacek, Bill Murray and Robert Duvall. In 2014 I participated in the Talent Lab Program as a part of Toronto International Film Festival. I have made several independent documentaries including Zapraszamy do fryzjera (Welcome to the hairdresser) or Spacer (A Scroll), which has won many awards and has been nominated to the off-scar award. The film Joanna has won over thirty awards all over the world, and in 2015 was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Documentary Short Film. In addition to that, I have made several advertising documentaries including the award winning Ja (Me), which was a part of the social campaign by Medical Nutricia. I have also authored many films and TV series for Polish Public Television, Canal+ and Discovery, among them Europa i okolice (Europe and Its Surroundings)Moje 600 gramów szczęścia (My 600 Grams of Happiness), Art-B. Made in Poland and many more. At present, I have been working on feature (fiction) film. I have been an acclaimed expert of the Polish Film Institute and a member of the Polish Film Academy.
